A gentle place
to begin the path
to marriage.
We’re a small, human-run organization. Every inquiry is met by a person, and every path is walked at the pace of discernment, not urgency.
The Center for Rahma Connections provides matchmaking, coaching, and education services for spiritual seekers looking for marriage. We are guided by Islamic and Sufi ethics of rahma (compassionate love), adab (courtesy), and amanah (trustworthiness).
What we do, and why.
We emphasize privacy and confidentiality over exposure and endless swiping on apps. Our goal is to get you matched as soon as we identify suitable potentials.
Our process is simple: a careful intake, respectful vetting, and selective introductions to matches who align on spirituality, values, and life goals.
You only receive curated prospects who make sense for you, based on your specific preferences. We don’t want to waste your time, unlike modern dating apps. We also offer coaching and education services to help you prepare for partnership and hone your search.
We believe that marriage isn’t only a contract between two individuals. It’s a covenant that carries divine compassion and love into the shape of daily life. We believe the way a marriage begins sets its tone for the years that follow, and so we work slowly, carefully, and with reverence for each person.
At this time most of our applicants are from North America and Western Europe. If you live in a geographical area that is underrepresented, there may not be compatible matches in your area until more people learn about us.
Please note: immigration to the United States through marriage is not immediate or straightforward. There are significant time-constrained barriers to navigate. See the U.S. State Department guidance for details.
Why we started this work.
It began when Dr. Abd al-Haqq Godlas, professor emeritus of Islamic Studies at the University of Georgia, had heard enough difficulties from singles he’d spoken with that he decided he wanted to help them find each other.
In 2023, he opened Sufi Seekers on the Marriage Path to facilitate connections between people around the world. It lasted for a while but proved unwieldy.
In the middle of 2026, Dr. Godlas relaunched the service as the Center for Rahma Connections, under the direction of Dr. Rose Aslan, a scholar of Islam, a spiritual and relationship life coach, and retreat facilitator.
Our goal is to address the growing marriage crisis around the world, especially among Muslims, Sufis, and spiritually aligned people. We facilitate love and marriage among spiritual seekers across the spectrum, from traditional and conservative to progressive, and everyone in between.
Your beloved is out there, and we want to help you find them.
Where we are right now.
We’re a new organization, building carefully and selectively. Many spiritually-grounded women and men have already joined the Center, ready and intentional. We’re now inviting more singles who are seriously seeking marriage and are aligned with our values.
If you’re a brother considering this path, please know you’re warmly welcomed and we hope you will sign up.
If you’re a sister, your patience and trust mean a great deal to us, and we’re working with steady care to bring forward partners worthy of you. Please do sign up as well.
Rooted in tradition, in service of today.
Sufi tradition
Our orientation draws from the Sufi path, with its emphasis on purification of the heart, refinement of character, and the primacy of compassion in every encounter.
Broad Islamic practice
We serve Muslims across the full spectrum of religiosity and approach, without imposing a single interpretation. We meet each person where they are and help them find matches who are aligned.
The way a marriage begins sets its tone for the years that follow.
