A few honest understandings.

1. What CRC Is (and Is Not)

1.1 Mission and approach. CRC offers discreet, curated matchmaking grounded in Islamic and Sufi ethics of rahma (compassion), adab (courtesy), and amanah (trustworthiness).

1.2 Privacy first. We prioritize member privacy and safety. We do not publish member profiles, and we will never send out a public profile blast. Introductions are curated and shared selectively.

1.3 Not a guarantee. CRC provides introductions and optional support (coaching and education). We do not guarantee compatibility, a relationship, engagement, or marriage. Results will vary.

2. Eligibility and Who CRC Serves

2.1 Age and capacity. You must be a legal adult (at least 18 years of age) in your jurisdiction and legally able to marry. CRC does not knowingly provide services to persons under the age of 18. Age will be verified through the identity verification process described in Section 4.2.

2.2 Who we serve. CRC serves, without unlawful discrimination, spiritually aligned seekers, including Muslims across levels of practice, Sufis from any order or not affiliated, spiritually open and Muslim- or Sufi-friendly seekers, and individuals who have never married, are divorced, or are widowed.

2.3 Who we do not serve. CRC does not serve:

• Anyone with a conviction for a violent offense, sexual offense, fraud, stalking, or other offense that CRC reasonably determines is inconsistent with member safety, or a history of domestic abuse or violence.
• Men or women who are currently married, except for those who are legally separated and have filed for divorce in a court of competent jurisdiction.
• Men or women who are legally separated but have not filed for divorce in a court of competent jurisdiction.

2.4 Right to refuse or remove. We may deny admission or remove a member at our discretion to protect safety, integrity, and community trust, consistent with applicable law. CRC will provide written notice of removal where practicable, except where immediate removal is required for safety reasons. Removed members may not reapply without CRC's express written consent.

3. Services, "Maqam" Levels, and How Introductions Work

3.1 Service levels. CRC offers three service tracks: Community Access, Verified Matchmaking, and Bespoke Coaching and Support. Current pricing for each level is listed on the Services page and may be updated from time to time with notice as provided in Section 13.

3.2 First Maqam: Community Access. You submit your profile and preferences; we add you to our confidential database (staff only) and may send curated introductions. Current pricing: $60 for 6 months.

3.3 Second Maqam: Verified Matchmaking. You may be fully vetted and screened to receive more personalized introductions and a verified status.

3.4 Third Maqam: Bespoke Coaching and Support. Includes the first two Maqams plus personalized coaching support (profile, preferences, discernment, and navigating the process).

3.5 One introduction at a time. CRC's process differs from apps: we make introductions one person at a time, emphasizing intention, privacy, sincerity, and space for istikhara and counsel.

3.6 What an "introduction" means. Typically, an email introduction; both parties review profiles and agree to connect; then a mutually agreed voice or video call or meeting. CRC does not guarantee that any introduction will result in further contact; either party may decline after reviewing the introduction.

3.7 No ghosting expectation. If it is not a match, you agree to end the connection respectfully with clear communication (a brief, kind decline message).

4. Application, Accuracy, and Vetting

4.1 Truthful information. You agree to provide information that is accurate, truthful, and up to date, and to promptly update CRC if anything material changes (marital status, location, legal name, and so on).

4.2 Identity verification. To protect safety and integrity, CRC uses external identity verification for all service levels. The identity verification provider and process are described on the Services page. CRC reserves the right to change verification providers upon notice.

4.3 Background checks and references (Levels 2 through 3). With your consent, CRC may request background checks or character references for Verified Matchmaking and Bespoke levels. Background checks are conducted by a third-party consumer reporting agency. You have the right to receive a copy of any consumer report used in an adverse decision and to dispute inaccurate information directly with the reporting agency, as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 1681 et seq. If CRC takes an adverse action (denial or termination) based in whole or in part on a background report, CRC will provide you with the required adverse action notice and information.

4.4 Misrepresentation. Any untrue, misleading, or incomplete information may result in denial or termination of membership with no refund, except where required by law.

5. Member Conduct (Adab Code)

CRC is rooted in adab and amanah. By participating, you agree to:

5.1 Respect and dignity. No harassment, coercion, threats, hate speech, stalking, or unlawful discrimination.

5.2 Sincere intent. Use CRC for marriage-seeking purposes consistent with the platform's values and boundaries.

5.3 Safety first. No intimidation, pressure, or manipulative behavior. If CRC becomes aware of safety concerns, CRC may immediately suspend or terminate participation without prior notice.

5.4 Traditional and modest pathways. If you prefer, CRC may support involvement of a wali, imam, or modest, chaperoned communication pathways as part of your process.

5.5 No manipulation or exploitation. You agree not to make financial requests of other members, engage in guilt tactics, love-bombing, controlling behavior, or any attempt to isolate another member from their support system. Violation of this provision may result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

6. Confidentiality, Privacy, and "No Sharing" Rules

6.1 Confidential database. Member profiles are not published; access is limited to CRC staff and selectively shared for curated introductions.

6.2 Privacy policy. CRC's collection, use, storage, and deletion of personal information, including the categories of data collected, third-party data processors, and your rights regarding your data, are described in CRC's Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. In the event of conflict between this Agreement and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls with respect to data privacy matters.

6.3 No forwarding or posting. You agree not to copy, forward, post, screenshot, record, or share any profile, message, email introduction, or identifying information about any other member without explicit written consent from CRC and the person involved.

6.4 Limited exception. You may share information only as needed to protect safety or comply with law (for example, reporting threats, harassment, or suspected criminal conduct to appropriate authorities).

6.5 Your responsibility. Even with vetting, you are responsible for your own privacy choices and boundaries.

7. Communication, Responsiveness, and Participation

7.1 Primary channels. CRC may communicate by email and other reasonable channels you provide. You are responsible for maintaining a current, functioning email address on file with CRC.

7.2 Responsiveness. If CRC sends you an introduction or a time-sensitive question and you do not respond within 14 days of confirmed delivery, CRC may mark you inactive, pause introductions, or close your file to protect staff time and community flow. You may request reactivation later, at CRC's discretion.

7.3 Feedback. CRC may request feedback after introductions to refine future matching. Participation in feedback requests is voluntary.

8. Fees, Scholarships, and Refunds

8.1 Fees. Some CRC services require fees. Current fees are listed on the Services page and are subject to change upon notice as provided in Section 13.

8.2 Scholarships and sliding scale. CRC aims to keep services accessible and may offer scholarships or sliding-scale options as available, at CRC's sole discretion.

8.3 Refund policy. Unless required by applicable law, fees are nonrefundable because time and resources are committed to onboarding, verification, review, and introductions upon enrollment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, CRC will provide refunds to the extent required by state consumer protection or personal services contract law in your jurisdiction. 9. No Warranties; Assumption of Risk

9.1 No warranty. CRC provides services "as is" and "as available" and makes no warranties, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, regarding outcomes, compatibility, or member conduct.

9.2 Assumption of risk. You understand there are inherent risks in meeting people (online or in person), including emotional distress and physical risk. You agree to take reasonable precautions (meet in public, inform a trusted friend, and so on).

9.3 Screening limits. CRC may screen for intent and safety but cannot verify everything about every person or predict behavior. Background checks reflect information available at the time of the check and may not reflect subsequent conduct.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• CRC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your participation, including communications or meetings with other members.
• CRC is not responsible for losses, injuries, or damages resulting from member interactions, whether online or in person.
• CRC's total aggregate liability to you for any direct damages arising out of or relating to this Agreement or your participation in CRC services, regardless of the form of the claim, will not exceed the total fees paid by you to CRC in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, CRC's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CRC, its staff, contractors, volunteers, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your breach of this Agreement; (b) your misuse of the service; (c) your interactions with other members; or (d) content you submit.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal resolution. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact CRC at salam@rahmaconnections.org and provide a written description of the dispute and the relief sought. CRC will respond within 30 days. The parties agree to negotiate in good faith for at least 30 days before pursuing mediation or litigation.

12.2 Mediation. If informal resolution fails, the parties agree to submit the dispute to non-binding mediation administered by a mutually agreed mediator before filing any claim in court. Costs of mediation shall be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.

12.3 Small claims. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.

12.4 Class action waiver. To the extent permitted by law, you waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, collective action, or representative action against CRC.

13. Concerns, Complaints, and Reviews

13.1 Concerns first. If you have a concern or complaint, you agree to contact CRC promptly so we can try to address it.

13.2 No gag clauses. Nothing in this Agreement prohibits you from making truthful statements, filing complaints with regulators, or exercising rights you have under consumer protection laws. CRC reserves the right to remove members for harassment, threats, doxxing, or confidentiality breaches.

14. Changes to Services or Terms

CRC may update services, fees, and these Terms from time to time. CRC will provide at least 14 days' advance written notice (by email to the address on file) before material changes take effect. Updated terms will apply from the posted effective date or the date of notice, whichever is later. Continued participation after updates means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept updated terms, you must notify CRC in writing and your membership will be closed; fees already paid will not be refunded except as required by law.

15. Governing Law and Venue

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Venue for any dispute not resolved pursuant to Section 12 will be in the state or federal courts located in the county in which CRC's primary offices are located, and each party irrevocably submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

16. Entire Agreement; Severability

This Agreement, together with the Adab Code and Privacy Policy, each of which is incorporated herein by reference, is the entire agreement between you and CRC regarding participation. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. The parties agree that any unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

18. Adab Code

CRC is a privacy-first, values-rooted marriage pathway. By participating, you agree to uphold rahma (compassion), adab (courtesy), and amanah (trust) in all interactions.

• Sincere intention (niyyah). Participate with the intention of seeking marriage in a respectful, halal-minded way: no games, no "just browsing," no pressure.
• Respect and dignity. Speak with kindness and restraint. No insults, shaming, harassment, discrimination, sexual talk, or coercion.
• Honesty and transparency. Be truthful about identity, marital status, availability, and deal-breakers. Update CRC promptly if anything changes.
• Confidentiality is sacred. No screenshots, recording, forwarding, or sharing anyone's profile, photos, or messages. What you learn through CRC stays private.
• Safety first. Meet thoughtfully (public places, inform a trusted person, keep boundaries). If something feels unsafe, stop and notify CRC.
• Timely communication (no ghosting). Respond within a reasonable time. If you are not interested, decline clearly and kindly.
• Modesty and boundaries. Keep communication appropriate. If you prefer, involve a wali, imam, or family support; CRC will respect that.
• No manipulation or exploitation. No financial requests, guilt tactics, love-bombing, control, or attempts to isolate someone from their support system.
• Graceful endings. If it is not a match, end with ihsan: brief, respectful closure, no public commentary, no blame.
• Community trust. Violations of this Adab Code or CRC confidentiality may result in removal from CRC at our discretion to protect members and the integrity of the process.
