Who we are

The Center for Rahma Connections is an organization (that will soon become a nonprofit) that provides matchmaking, coaching, and education services designed for spiritual seekers looking for marriage. We are guided by Islamic/Sufi ethics of rahma (compassionate love), adab (courtesy), and amanah (trustworthiness).

We emphasize privacy and confidentiality over exposure and endless swiping on apps. Our process is simple: a careful intake, respectful vetting, and selective introductions to matches who align on spirituality, values, and life goals.

We never publish member profiles; you only receive curated prospects that make sense for you based on your specific preferences.

We also offer coaching and education services to help individuals prepare for partnership and hone their search preferences.

Why did we start this service?

It all started when Dr. Abd al-Haqq Godlas, professor emeritus of Islamic Studies at the University of Georgia, had heard enough difficulties from many singles he had spoken to that he decided he wanted to help them find each other.

In 2023, he opened up Sufi Seekers on the Marriage Path to facilitate connections between people from all over the world. It lasted for a while but the project proved to be unwieldy.

In the end of 2025, Dr. Godlas decided to relaunch the service, this time calling it the Center for Rahma Connections, under the direction of Dr. Rose Aslan, a scholar of Islam and a spiritual life coach. Our goal is to establish this Center as an answer to the growing marriage crisis around the world, especially among Muslims, Sufis, and spiritually aligned people.

Our goal is to facilitate love and marriage among spiritual seekers from the conservative/traditional to progressive orientations and everyone in between.
